Jo Ellen is called to be a medical missionary in the Diocese of Panama.
Her assignment will be:
- Establish 6 medical clinics in the isolated areas of Panama
- Establish a medical internship with Duke University
- Support short-term medical missionaries in Panama
Jo Ellen has been 
a Registered Nurse for 30 years and has known since she was twelve years old that she was called to do this work.
During the 2005 Panama Mission Trip with the Frederick Regional Council she realized it was time to make the move and become a full time missionary.
It has been a long journey, from seeking feedback from her family to a 2-weeek training and orientation at the offices of the National Church in New York.
